Absolutley stunning 1963 Ford F100 Pick Up
Originally brought into the UK in 1997 and it was then nut and bolt restored over a five year period and done just 463 miles since.
When brought into the UK from Arizona the F100 was totally original and solid and never been welded.
Original engine was discarded and fitted with a 460c.i (7.5 litre) V8 from a 1971 Lincoln Continental rated @ 360HP from the factory.
Fitted with unleaded heads from a 1974 460.
Oil pan removed and all components were checked and found to be satisfactory. New timing chain and gears, new points condenser and cap. New Felpro gaskets, oil and filter, core plugs and hoses. New engine mounts fabricated from rectangular box section.
C6 Auto from the same source as the engine, fitted with new front and rear seals, pan gasket and selector shaft seal. Bands adjusted, filled with new fluid and trans mount fabricated.
9″ differential replaced with limited slip unit with a 3.30-1ratio. R/H half shaft seal renewed plus new oil and L.S additive
Stripped checked and cleaned. Cylinders good but new rubbers fitted and system bled. All shoes and drums are excellent.
Steering box moved forward 1.5″ (40)mm to raise steering column in order to fit full size Lincoln auto brake pedal. 1974 Lincoln tilt steering column (with ignition and gearshift lock) shortened 6″ (150)mm and fitted. All electrics wired accordingly, shroud fitted and trans indicator fabricated.
Headlining, side and rear window panels and fuel tank covered with pale blue velour material. Lincoln deep pile carpets cut to size and edge bound in vinyl to match seats. Lincoln blue leather seats totally dismantled and unused sections from discarded rear seats sewn in. Small centre console fitted to accommodate switching and electrics for drivers seat. Carpeted kick panels with vinyl bound edges made up and fitted to door bottoms. Lincoln stereo radio and Pioneer 30W door speakers fitted.
All panels except cab removed from chassis. All glass, rubbers, emblems, trims and interior removed. All panels bare metalled. Rear bed shot blasted. Bed interior painted with textured acrylic and floor fitted with custom made Iroko hardwood strips and dressed with teak oil. The rest of the body and dab interior finished in two-tone base coat and clear. All panels protected with a liberal coating of waxoyl. Tailgate hinges, hood latch, tailgate chains (supplied loose) and various other parts zinc plated.
Steam cleaned and painted in satin black. New shocks and flexi brake hoses fitted.
Pipes fabricated from manifolds culminating into twin Thrush Sidewinders with polished aluminium covers accented in Red and clear lacquered.
Wiring extended to run hidden in chassis rails along with voltage regulator and horn relay. Reconditioned alternator fitted. Starter solenoid and terminal block moved and concealed behind battery. All wiring concealed in plastic trunking. Underside of hood covered with felt padded black vinyl. Hood hinges and lock mechanism bare metalled and lacquered.
Wheel centres painted to match body and fitted with stainless steel Allen bolts, new centre caps and wheel locks..
Thousands upon thousands of hours and expense have gone into this stunning car by the previous owner who was a Rolls Royce coach builder/ coach painter. It is virtually impossible to believe that the unblemished paintwork was carried out 19 years ago.
This stunning truck is ready to show or enjoy and is not recommended for the shy retiring type!
