1971 MGB Roadster with overdrive, wire wheels and a replacement British Motor Heritage complete body.
Having cars like this make our job nice and easy as all of the hard work has already been done.
Although replaced in approximately 2006 if this was today a new shell is roughly £16000 in bare metal plus rightly £5000 to paint it and then labour costs of rebuilding the car, rebuilding the mechanicals etc so full restoration is anything from £35000 to £55000 for an MGB.
Covered approximately 6000 miles since restoration, not seen rain with its last owner of 6 years who like previous custodians have maintained the car to an excellent standard.
The underneath has been thoroughly undersealed to protect the brand new body and it shows !
There is not a spot of rust anywhere on the body and the paint finish and panel gaps are as good as what they would have been when new.
The engine bay is lovely and all the mechanical items are running like clockwork and without fault, the engine has fantastic oil pressure when cold or hot and the engine runs really well and the overdrive gearbox functions instantly.
The MGB is fitted with a Kenlowe electric cooling fan, K&N filters, aluminium rocker cover, servo assisted brakes, oil cooler with braided hoses and copper brake pipes.
The Black mohair hood is in excellent condition and the MGB also comes with a full tonneau cover as well as a hood cover.
Running on a set of chrome wire wheels with matching Bridgestone tyres .
All in all a stunning looking “B” which wants for nothing finished in the best colour combination of Tartan Red with Black leather and also retaining it’s original and far too often replaced “fish mouth grill “
Mot and tax exempt but comes with a voluntary Mot valid until April 2027.
